About
Building People

The UK needs to build; there is a shortage of skilled workers and the workforce we have lacks diversity.

Building People is a free-to-use web platform that aggregates and connects people, knowledge, resources, opportunities and needs across the built environment industry.

Building People enables individuals to find employers, opportunities and resources, and employers to engage with a more diverse range of talent.

In the Spotlight

Building Procurement

Social value in procurement is a hot topic right now, but how can local authorities better connect small, local business supply to developers and contractors, and how can procurers and suppliers be enabled to more easily find one another?

Thanks to the Social Enterprise Support Fund, distributed by Big Issue Impact, Building People has developed an 'inclusive procurement' directory and network, aimed at simplifying business connections to improve social value.

Building Procurement soft launches shortly and we are busy working with a mixture of early adopter local authorities, procurers and suppliers to populate the directory.

We’re keen to have you involved, so please contact us to join in.
