The event is for anyone in surveying, interested in the work of a surveyor, in a related professional, or someone just interested in real estate and the beautiful Westminster venue.
The AMS Initiative was born from our founder's Hajj journey in 2022. Hajj is the major Muslim pilgrimage to Makkah in Saudi Arabia and the fifth pillar of Islam.
Before our founder went, Arab News wrote about the intended journey. After our founder returned, she wrote an article for the RICS as a special member feature; they said it was one of their most interacted with articles over two months.
The RICS is the UK-based Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, whose history can be traced back to 1792; it has 134,000 global members, 70% in the UK.
The RICS said the Muslim surveying community was saying something, so our founder suggested she start The AMS Initiative, and 50 people registered in a week.
So, The AMS Initiative was formed as a service by our Founders company Surveyor Store Ltd; it is an inclusive platform that is important to our Members.
Our forming Community is from many real estate organisations and institutions; they say their needs are not being met or, as a minority, their voice is lost; they are located worldwide.
We have therefore created this opportunity for sponsors and others to get involved in our first founding and Eid Event, to be held in the RICS HQ in Westminster.
The event shall start with a recitation of the Quran, an introduction to AMS from our Founder, a conversation with sponsors on how they are "Paving the way for a more Inclusive Profession," and we will hear from our Members and the audience on why "We All Count."
