We are seeking a proactive, dynamic and well-organised Project Commercial Manager/QS to join our London-Notting Hill office.
Responsibilities
You will work as member of a cross functional team, interacting directly with sales, operations, and the teams in Austria and the US., You will report directly to our Director of Finance.
The roles primary focus is on commercial project management and support:
• Input on legal, tax, insurance and risk matters for tenders and estimates
• Supplier screening and vetting
• Drive contract management and negotiations to ensure the best interest of the company is reflected
• Payment applications, valuations, invoicing
• Direct contact to client commercial teams
• Project controlling (complete project lifecycle) including cost reporting and project cash flow
• Tracking Work-in-Progress (WIP)
• Work closely with project management to ensure commercial compliance across all projects
• Monthly Project Cost Reviews, including operational and strategic analyses for PMs and the company’s management.
This role also closely supports the finance department and is backup for several key tasks. A keen interest to think outside the box and a holistic approach to organise workload is essential.
Requirements
• At least three to five years of relevant experience ideally in the kitchen, joinery, or construction sector
• Solid understanding of legal, commercial, and financial processes in a relevant project-based environment.
• Proficient in handling contract- and payment term negotiations and willingness to dissect foreign and domestic contracts to ensure legal and commercial compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of JCT Contracts: Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal) contracts, including but not limited to the management, negotiation, and administration of JCT building contracts. Familiarity with the different forms of JCT agreements and the ability to interpret and apply contract terms in practice are essential for this role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English,

Benefits
From £40,000 – 50,000 a year (depending on experience); plus, bonus and attractive fringe benefits.
