In January 2018 UCEM (University College of Estate Management) published its Built Environment Skills Summit report, which called for a more collaborative approach between industry, government and education. The main issues identified were "the lack of joined-up thinking across all stakeholders, the lack of an overarching leadership body for skills, and the urgent need for both current and future skills".

Building People is a direct response to this report, with our UK Construction Week activity evidencing our commitment to developing the "longer-term, industry-led, integrated and sustainable vision" as called for in the UCEM report.

We will be hearing from our panellists about their views on the industry changes that have occurred since the UCEM report was published. You will also have the opportunity to view the Building People platform, and contribute your expertise to the workshops that will ensure we are creating a solution that meets your needs.
